The Koala
This is Warren. He is from Kangaroo Island off the coast of South Australia.
I was inspired to make him after a recent vacation there. We saw so many koalas snuggled high up in trees.
Of course, you can't snuggle with wild koalas so I decided to make one that can be cuddled anytime. And he is about as soft and cuddly as they get.
Warren is made from white and light grey alpaca. He has handpainted eyes with leather eyelids and a sculpted polymer clay nose. His claws are each hand sculpted out of polymer clay as well.
He is a beautiful boy.
