About Aerianna Mendoza:

I started sewing as a child using scraps of my mom's left over material to make little stuffed animals. I loved making stuffed seals and cats.

After college I started making teddy bears out of faux fur. Then I made my first bear out of mohair... and I was hooked! I started off making bears from purchased patterns and slowly started incorporating my own ideas until I felt confident to make my own patterns. Once I developed my own patterns and a "look" it was time to get a business license!

In June of 2005 , I opened my mohair teddy bear company, "aerBears". My dad called me Aerbear when I was a little girl and the name has always been special to me.

My goal is to make the most expressive, original mohair bears. You can be assured that each bear I offer up for adoption is of the best quality and masterfully stitched. I put a lot of time into my bears and it shows.

Lately, I have been incorporating painted eyes, trying to capture a place in time - what I think the bear is looking at. My hope is that you can gaze into your bear's eyes and join him or her wherever they are... the sandy shores of Hawaii or the snowy Artic tundra.

Thank you for visiting!

Here I am with the first bear I made using my own pattern.

This is my dog Salvador. We adopted him from the shelter 1 year ago.

This is Beaker. I have had him for 17 years. He talks (Gimme a Kiss, Uh Oh, mmmmm, Mama), sings (The "I Love You" song he made up), dances (anything with a beat) and mimics sounds (like a nose blowing)

This is Noodle, I adopted him from a cat rescue group.
